Simply CRM MCP privacy notice

This notice describes the data handled by the Simply CRM MCP service when a user connects an AI client to their Simply CRM account.

Data used to establish a connection

The service processes the CRM instance URL, CRM username and CRM password supplied by the user. The password is sent to the selected CRM instance only to authenticate the connection and obtain a revocable integration credential. The MCP server does not persist the CRM password. For retry convenience, the authorization page may retain the password only in browser session storage until that browser tab/session ends.

Data stored by the MCP service

The service stores the CRM instance URL, CRM user identifier and username, an encrypted CRM integration credential, OAuth client/token identifiers, granted scopes and expiry/revocation metadata. Audit records contain tool names, affected record identifiers, success/failure, timestamps and correlation identifiers; they do not intentionally contain CRM field values, passwords or bearer/integration tokens.

CRM content

CRM content requested through MCP tools is retrieved from Simply CRM on demand and returned to the user-selected AI client. Normal MCP application storage does not persist that returned CRM content.

Sharing and advertising

Data is transmitted to the AI client selected by the user only as necessary to perform requested MCP operations. The MCP service does not sell personal data and does not use CRM data for advertising.

Retention and deletion

Revoking a connection immediately disables the stored CRM integration credential. Expired/revoked OAuth artifacts and revoked connections are periodically removed; audit metadata is retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting. The included cleanup task uses 30 days for revoked connection/token metadata and 90 days for MCP audit metadata.

Third-party AI services

Use of ChatGPT, Claude or another MCP client is also subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
